Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Strategic Development, the Industry Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordination, development and delivery of a variety of courses in one or more program area(s).
The Coordinator must perform at an extremely high and sophisticated level of organizational ability. The Coordinator must be able to create and manage effective systems to ensure reliable and consistent outcomes. Typical duties and responsibilities of the Program Coordinator may include, but are not limited to:
Create and execute a curriculum review cycle tailored to clients needs
Provide mentoring and leadership to industry related personnel
Conducting needs identification and researching training needs
Developing program plan(s)
Preparing marketing plans
Monitoring and evaluating programs
Supervising staff/instructors (up to 5 FTE)
Disseminating and articulating complex information
Completing reports including ad hoc reports
Developing and implementing new programs and new initiatives
Engineering departmental procedures
Identifying co-delivery partnership opportunities
Writing and delivering proposals
Handling complex, confidential and private information
Developing, balancing and coordinating budgets
Setting up classrooms, which may include carrying books, materials, moving equipment, etc.
Education and Experience
A relevant two-year diploma or a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Two years relevant experience. 2-years recent experience successfully supervising others is required.
Preference may be given to applicants with proven project management experience with audit abilities relating to Quality Assurance.
Preference may be given to applicants with their NCSO, CRSP or O H & S Practitioner certifications.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
