Description

Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst Coordinator is responsible for providing accurate and data-based information on companys profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity. The position focuses on research and analyzing financial information to help company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements.
Skills & Competencies:
Solid knowledge in financial forecasting and analysis, corporate finance and information analysis and well informed in General Accounting Principles under ASPE
Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS office and financial software applications (QuickBooks)
Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
Positive contributor who is able to work effectively in a collaborative and team oriented environment
Highly ethical and understands his/her responsibility to act in the best interests of the company
Highly analytical, detail oriented and technical
Ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Business or Diploma in accounting with related work experience
Pursuing an accounting designation is preferred
Three to five years of relevant experience in accounting
Manufacturing cost accounting and tax knowledge would be an asset
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and regulations with demonstrated analytical analysis in financial statements
Previous experience working with auditors and complying to audit standards
Experience working in various accounting application programs
