- Direct and coordinate the activities of food service workers in the kitchen area
- Supervise the preparation of food material, food plates and packing materials
- Assist in food material supplies and inventory management, make sure adequate food supplies are always available
- Weekly schedule workers jobs, make sure appropriate staff is available at all times
- Ensure daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance of food preparation areas and equipment
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Ensure standards of food safety, sanitation are adhered and maintain work areas clean
- Supervise and train kitchen helpers
