The Assistant Grain Sales Manager is responsible for procuring grain products by building relationships with farm customers within a geographical area. The Assistant Grain Sales Manager adds value to both CMI Terminal Ltd. and customers through educating and delivering information on grain marketing and contract programs that will maximize business operations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Negotiate grain contracts from a defined client base
- Coordinate logistics of contracts
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships
- Drive and facilitate the competitive grain contracts
Knowledge and skills:
- Personable & honest
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Open to and motivated by change
- Basic understanding of the Canadian Grain Industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Education and qualifications:
- Education: Certificate in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Business Administration or Sales and Marketing (or equivalent post-secondary education)
- Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in agriculture or other sales-related customer service functions
