CAD Engineers/Technologists are competent technical people who have demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing concepts and have skills with 2D and 3D CAD. CAD Engineers/Technologists are primarily responsible for detailing and design tasks. This is both a great learning opportunity for young engineers and technologists as well as a place for senior CAD people to deliver value to the customers by creating and maintaining CAD files and CAD Standards.
Responsibilities:
Use 3D CAD to detail products and make simple design changes.
Use a combination of 2D CAD and other tools to document overall system designs.
Focus on DFx, i.e. Design For Manufacturability, Serviceability, Reliability, Affordability, etc.
Produce engineering deliverables that meet Quality, Cost and Schedule requirements.
Seek continuous improvement in engineering activities, and communicate these to your supervisor.
Field research as required. Business travel will be an occasional requirement.
Learn and be mentored by some of the best design engineers and technologists in the province/state.
Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
Required Skills:
Engineer-in-Training or Technologist
Experience in trailer design and 3D CAD
Good communication skills written and verbal
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent work ethic
