Description

Maintenance position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties; install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the Feed Mill's business objectives. (installation, repairs, adjustments and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facility)
Responsibilities:
- install/maintain production machines and mill's equipment
- Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment
- Perform simple machinist duties.
- Perform mechanic skills including; mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and troubleshooting.
- Read equipment manuals and work orders required for servicing.
- Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry maintenance.
- Use a variety of hand/power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report to supervisors.
- Comply with safety regulations & maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Manage "Spare parts inventory".
- Perform tasks assigned by Mill Manager.
- Maintain records of inspections and repairs, preventative maintenance and meter reading
Qualifications
- Industrial Mechanics Certificate or Equivalent
- Ability to support production department when on-call on weekends/nights.
- Possession of related valid Power Engineer Certificate would be an asset
- Knowledge of PLC/control an asset.
Experience in these areas an asset:
- install/maintain conveyors, rotary valves,compressors,blowers,fans,grinders,motors, gearboxes and filtration equipment.
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings.
