Adecco is currently recruiting for an Accountant in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. We are looking for a reliable professional who has experience providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. To qualify for our Accountant position, you should have 5+ years of experience performing in an accounting focused role, CPA designation is preferred.
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Performs monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options and make best-practices recommendations to management
- Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues and improve profits
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
Accountant Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting focused role
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail and be deadline-oriented
- Maintains customer confidence and keeps financial information confidential
- Experience ensuring that statements and records comply with laws and regulations
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
- CPA certification is preferred
