Thyssen Mining is looking for an energetic and detail oriented individual to join our Technical Services Department in the position of CAD Designer. The chosen individual will report to the Technical Services Manager and be based out of our Head Office in Regina, SK. In this role, the CAD Designer will work alongside our team of professionals and be responsible for developing functional designs, updating existing designs, implementing and/or developing applicable processes or procedures to support underground mining projects worldwide.

The ideal candidate will possess:

-Technical training through completion of a technical or trade school CAD program
-Ability to create or develop Engineering drawings
-Experience in AutoCAD and Solidworks platforms
-Knowledge of other software systems such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Access, Visio, and SharePoint
-Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
-Methodical and detail oriented approach to work practices
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Passion and aptitude to train and share your experiences with others in related processes, procedures, and software
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively in a team environment
-Ability to support and promote Corporate Health & Safety practices
