We are currently recruiting for an Automotive Service Prep Instructor who will be responsible for instructing all courses related to the program which include both classroom and hands-on training. Courses of instruction include, but are not limited to: Automotive Electronics; Body and Trim; Charging systems; Engines; General Shop Procedures; Starting Systems; Vehicle Inspections and Maintenance.
Additional duties include; classroom management; essential skills and job readiness instruction; taking attendance and submitting on a regular basis; monitoring student progress and submitting reports on a regular basis; and other duties as assigned.
The minimal qualifications for this position are; Grade 12 or equivalent; Journeyperson Certification in the Automotive Service Technician/Technology (MVMR) trade; recent relevant Automotive post-Journeyperson (2 years in the last 5) experience; effective communication skills (written and oral), interpersonal skills, and instructional ability.
Accrediting Institute: Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technology Instructor must meet Saskatchewan Indian Institutes accreditation requirements.
