Pasqua First Nation is currently accepting applications for a Physical Education teacher
(Grade K- Grade 12).
Chief Paskwa Education Centre is a K-12 school with approximately 170 students enrolled. The school is located on the Pasqua First Nation in Southern Saskatchewan (Near Fort QuAppelle, SK).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver a rigorous physical education program to all students
Demonstrate methods that support the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and cultural development of children
Prepare engaging lessons and interactive learning activities/materials that follow SK curriculum standards
Create appropriate physical education instruction and adaptations for learners of different abilities
Understand individual group behaviors and motivations as to create a safe learning environment
Facilitate learning activities both within the classroom setting and outdoors
Participate in co-curricular school activities and be active in community events
Promote and maintain high standards of behaviour, respect and safety within the classroom
Participate in professional development and CPEC faculty meetings and activities
Maintain appropriate standards of behavior, mutual respect, and safety within classroom
Uphold STFs Code of Conduct, provide appropriate consequences and contact parents when required
Develop a positive, safe culture through actions and words
The successful candidate will possess an understanding of, or desire to learn about Saulteaux values and will be required to participate in cultural activities.
Respect In Sport Certificate
Have current First Aid and CPR training
Have Concussion Protocol Certificate
Level 1 Coaching training/certification would be beneficial

- Evaluate the progress of students and discuss progress results with students, parents and school officials
