This is not your traditional HR generalist role. At Viterra, you are accountable to partner and provide your HR expertise to a designated group of clients. As an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for translating business needs into human resources services, that enable value added HR support to the business. Responsible for providing guidance and assistance to employees, managers, and to the Human Resources Business Partners, you will interpret human resources policies, collective bargaining agreements and programs in the areas of HR systems, labour relations, benefits, pension, compensation, payroll, staffing and retention, and learning and organizational development. You will also have the opportunity to work on corporate plans, projects, and be involved with the development of HR programming as you work in close collaboration with the HR leadership team and the HR centres of expertise.
As the successful candidate, you will have post-secondary education in business and/or human resources along with several years of applicable HR consulting/partnering experience (preferably within a unionized work environment). In advance of applying, you must be confident that you have exemplary problem solving and decision-making skills, effective communications, strong relationship building and coaching skills. A CHRP designation is an asset.
Viterra operates across the Prairies and into the US mid-west thus, a reasonable amount of travel is required.
