Qualified candidates will be:
* Proficient in selling memberships and pro-shop items,
* Enthusiastic in the promotion of Scheer's Martial Arts,
* Computer literate with accurate typing skills,
* Willing to learn a specialized martial arts database.
And have reliable transportation!
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Answering telephone with a professional manner
- Reception duties including greeting and giving tours
- Explaining different programs to prospective students
- Phoning for membership renewals
- Booking appointments
- Pro-shop and juice bar sales
- Data entry in a martial arts specific software
- Preparing MS Word and MS Excel documents
The successful applicant will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to speak English clearly and concisely. A professional demeanor and personable presentation with a smile is vital as the receptionist meets and greets students, visitors, and guests, and in doing so creates the opportunity to make an excellent first impression on behalf of Scheer's Martial Arts. Solid interpersonal skills are a must. The front office staff acts as the central hub of communication so the ability to handle a multitude of varied tasks, in an efficient and timely manner is important for overall success.
Candidates with sales experience will have preference.
Hours will be mostly in the evenings (usually 4:30 p.m to 8:00 p.m.) and weekends, however will not be more than 15 hours a week, however more hours will be required for training purposes.
