Tourism Saskatchewan is seeking a Manager of Planning and Research. This self-directed management position is responsible for providing policy, planning and research advice to the senior leadership team. Primary responsibilities include managing organization-wide strategic plans and discussions, as well as conducting, obtaining, analyzing and interpreting relevant market and economic research, trends and intelligence that relate to tourism in Saskatchewan. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in research that is supported by a degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, are required along with previous experience working closely with senior leaders. Experience facilitating groups of stakeholders is also required, ideally in the area of strategic planning. Knowledge of survey methodologies and techniques, as well as digital marketing analytics, are considered assets. Previous management experience is required and a broad knowledge of Government of Saskatchewan procedures, processes, reporting and protocols is a significant asset.
