Work for one of Saskatchewans Top Employers and join the Ranch Ehrlo team. We are seeking a full-time term (up to 1 year) Payroll Accountant. This position will focus on the day-to-day activities relating to time entry management and in-house payroll processing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage and process weekly time entries and approval
Verify, process, and post time data in Agency payroll system
Process other payroll related documents (i.e. on-call tracking, change of status, wellness benefits, etc.)
Process, file, and maintain all records related to the payroll processes
Complete reporting activities as per specific procedures & deadlines (i.e. ROEs)
Prepare the CRA source deduction remittance
Prepare external remittance, as required. Including but not limited to: agency pension benefits, agency group insurance benefits, and the Canada Savings Bonds program
Respond to employee inquires; research and resolve discrepancies
Performs related duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications and key attributes include:
Preference will be given to those who have a Certified Payroll Practitioner certificate
Minimum 3 years of payroll or accounting related experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products; preferable with Payroll and HR system
High attention to detail in an environment with a focus and high expectation of accuracy
Must be organized, motivated & complete position deliverables in a high volume environment
Ability to communicate effectively, make sound business decisions, contribute to team successes and enhance the department and the agency culture
