SUMMARY
The Low Bed Truck Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of heavy equipment to and from various customer job site locations. This position involves local or long-distance hauling of equipment and supplies as well as loading, unloading, and securing the equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Mobilize heavy equipment to and from job sites in a safe, efficient, and effective manner
Mobilize heavy equipment to and from job sites in a safe, efficient, and effective manner
Communicate with customers and dispatch effectively
Ensuring pre-trip inspections and log books are being done correct
Flexible schedule for evening and weekend work as required
Ability to drive and operate different trucks and equipment within the company fleet when lowbed work is not required
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 or GNED
Minimum 2 years experience as a low bed driver
Valid Class 1 Drivers License (Clean driving record)
Must have the following driver courses: Cargo Securement, Hours of Service, Air Brakes, TDG, WHMIS, and CSTS.
Must understand weight distribution, Axles ratings, and DOT regulations
Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Previous oilfield construction experience would be considered an asset
Ability to lift 100 pounds
Capable of working as part of a team
Fluent in speaking and reading English
