The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of safety management, process safety, general
pipeline practices, the natural gas industry, familiarity with software and databases for data
analysis. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of engineering knowledge with a preferential
experience in process safety management, pipelines and interaction with field staff, and
systematic analysis relating to process hazard analysis, root cause analysis, management of
change for process safety, and other related process safety elements. This position is primarily
office based, but may have occasional field visits to investigate incidents, and participate in
analysis. This candidate will be in close communication with a number of departments
throughout the business such as Health and Safety, Engineering, Operations, and System
Integrity. The interaction with numerous departments and operations staff requires strong
organizational and communication abilities.
Qualifications
Hold a Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Science from a recognized Canadian program (ex: Bachelor of Science or Engineering, Masters of Engineering, Technical Diploma in Engineering or Science)
Hold a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license or equivalent
Candidate whose primary language is not English must have a score of 9 or higher on the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) General test; or a minimum score of 110 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language. (TOEFL) Internet Based Test (iBT) exam; or a minimum score of 8 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam.
