The Federation is seeking a Records and Archives Analyst for our Central Records unit at our head office in Saskatoon for approximately one year, beginning January 2, 2018.
The primary function of Central Records is to promote economy and efficiency in the creation, maintenance, storage, retrieval and disposal of the Federations records. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining organizational records; ensuring the preservation of historical information; and assisting staff and external researchers in fulfilling retrieval and research requests. This position will also assist staff in carrying out various projects related to the records and archives program.
Typically, the knowledge and skills for this position would be acquired through post-secondary education with a major focus on records and information management, library sciences, archival studies or related discipline in the humanities or the social sciences plus 2-3 years of experience. Records management experience in a SharePoint or Documentum environment is an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
