Regina Public Schools is seeking an Elementary 10-month Administrative Assistant.
DUTIES:
- Registration of students
- Maintain a computerized accounting system, reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements
- Establish and maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing administrative reports, month-end, absence reports and time sheets
- Assist with school opening and school closing procedures, reporting and correspondence
- Respond to telephone, in person, or electronic inquiries and provide general information
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 plus formal secretarial training or extensive secretarial experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A proven record of excellent public relations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to work independently
- Typing speed of 55 - 60 w.p.m.
- Excellent computer skills, including good working knowledge of Office XP
- Bookkeeping experience, preference given for good working knowledge of accounting software and internet use
- Concern for accuracy
