OVERVIEW of ORGANIZATION
Elmwood Residences Inc. (ERI), became an incorporated non-profit organization in 1966 that houses and supports individuals with intellectual disabilities through 14 locations. ERI is a Non-Government Organization but is primarily funded by Community Living Division of Social Services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCIAL
    Maintain the integrity of financial information by ensuring that financial data is complete and accurate and complies with legislation, general accounting principles, best practices, agreements with external parties and Elmwood policies and procedures.
    Create operational budget for organization.
    Issue official donation receipts for revenue received and depositing of all revenues.
    Contribute to organizations effective management through preparation of accurate, timely financial reports and statements.
    Prepare monthly financial statements and reserve schedules for presentation to the Audit and Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
    Completion of GST, PST and NPO Information returns.

PAYROLL and HUMAN RESOURCES
    Completion and submission of payroll deductions to Government.
    Completion and submission of record of employments to Service Canada.
    Benefit plan administration.

LICENSES:  CPA designation.
EXPERIENCE:Experience in a complex and/or diverse health care or organization of a similar size considered an asset.  Should have experience working in and promoting a diverse and inclusive environment.
