Reel Room Operator, Pressroom
Saskatoon StarPhoenix, a division of Postmedia Network Inc.  Saskatoon, SK

The StarPhoenix, a division of Postmedia Network Inc., is seeking a Reel Room Operator.   This full-time entry-level position within the pressroom is on the night shift with a rotating a rotating 4-day work week shift schedule, Sunday through Friday, 6:30 pm to 3:37 am.

Primary Responsibilities:    
Preparing and changing newsprint rolls on the press;
Cleaning as directed in the press area;
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:
Physically able to perform all job duties, with the ability to tolerate frequent pushing, bending and lifting, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Ability to work co-operatively and productively within a team as well as independently as required;
Demonstrated strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions from supervisor and department manager;
Demonstrated mechanical ability is a definite asset;
Must be prepared to work day, night and weekend rotations, including occasional overtime.
