The primary responsibility of the Banquet Captain is to offer expertise in the area of Food and Beverage as it relates to all Banquet areas within the hotel. Reporting directly to the Catering Manager, the position is responsible for directing the Banquet team in accordance with corporate and hotel standards, while maintaining a four star dining experience in our conference facilities, and ensuring adherence to administrative standards required in the department.
This position requires exceptionally strong communication and a collaborative approach with all hotel leadership team members and departmental associates.
Qualifications:
Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends. Hours of work will be scheduled based on business volumes/operational demands and will vary.
Minimum 2 years Banquet experience. Supervisor experience in banquets preferred but not required.
University/College education, preference given to hotel management graduates.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Computer literate in Word, Excel.
Proven experience building positive and collaborative teams who are focused on providing exceptional guest experiences.
Demonstrated success managing overall guest experience.
Must be energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
