Our Regina office requires the services of an intermediate to senior level project estimator to support our Electrical Services Division. This position will report directly to the Manager of Estimating and indirectly to the Director of Business Development. Often working alongside our Engineering, Manufacturing and Technical Service teams, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing accurate estimates on multiple client projects. Preference will be given to persons with experience in industrial and/or high voltage substation settings.
Responsibilities:
-Coordinate and prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects; analyze drawings, specifications and bid documentation, data collection, quantity takeoffs, possible site trips, formulating questions and participating in multi-discipline scope meetings.
-Maintain accurate files and backup data to support estimates.
-Prepare handover packages to communicate estimate details, assumptions, exceptions and expectations to those executing the work.
-Maintain and grow client relationships.
Qualifications:
-Post-secondary degree, diploma in the related field or journeyman red seal ticket.
-At least 5 years experience in project coordination and estimating.
-Must possess strong computer and MS Office skills; Word, Excel, MS Project.
-Experience with Accubid BidWinner or similar software.
-You will need to demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
-Demonstrated ability to multitask and work under tight time constraints.
-Current valid Drivers Licence & Drivers Abstract required.
