Amazing opportunity to be a part of Hope's Home . This position will work with After School Program, 2:30pm to 5:30om weekdays.
Scope:
The Early Childhood Educator provides integrated programming for all children and implements the philosophy and goals of Hope's Home and Joint Use School model. They create an environment that promotes quality learning, individuality, growth and development while upholding the highest standards for childcare practice.
Mandate:
Work cooperatively with the Hope's Home team to develop and implement integrated programming for all children in a multi-aged early learning center.
Plan and provide daily experiences/programming that support and promote each child's physical, emotional, social, communicative, cognitive and creative skills.
Protect and promote the psychological and physical safety, health and well-being of each child being cared for.
Develop and maintain a warm, caring, and responsive relationship with every child.
Establish and maintain an open, cooperative partnership with each child's family, and support the family in meeting their goals for the child.
Maintain a collaborative working relationship with each member of the Hopes Home team, outside agencies, and community services.
Participation in on-going professional development training and staff meetings
Adhere to all policies and procedures of Hopes Home.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a variety of behavioral and physical disorders, as well as children with diverse needs.
The Early Childhood Educator shall be in charge of the following administrative duties:
Write developmental assessments and anecdotal records to document developmental milestones, set goals and create action plans for future development. One anecdotal record per month, per child should be completed.
Document children's learning on projects through a variety of documentation panels.
