Description

The Department Sales Manager is responsible to assist the Store General Manager in executing the 5 Success Factors.  The DSM demonstrates a positive and engaged attitude when dealing with customers and employees. In addition they will be responsible for maximizing the sales and service of a department by demonstrating responsibility for and effective management of the following key areas, customer service, operations, training; as well as providing leadership and assuming responsibility for the store in the absence of the store management team or as required.
Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service and follows up and coaches team to deliver on Marks Customer Service behaviours.
Coach and develop departmental team by setting expectations, keeping open lines of communication, coaching on a continual basis, providing constructive feedback, and providing ongoing support
Completes and holds team accountable to complete required training within timeframes
Assist in the creation of development plans for staff, providing support and coaching to improve any performance gaps
Maintain Marks performance management expectations through feedback and coaching; this includes progressive discipline where necessary
Develop and maintain a positive work environment for staff
Provides mentorship to teams and influences continuous growth
Full-time employees work 37.5 hours and receive benefits.
