Title: Computer Technician
Location: T4EA Head Office: Treaty 4 Governance Centre, Fort QuAppelle, Saskatchewan
Term: August 14, 2017 March 31, 2018 with a possibility of extension
The Computer Technician works in collaboration with the School Success Planning Team and the Technology Team within the organization and 11 Alliance Schools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the following:
Server and networking concepts and solutions
Functions and operations of computers
Commercial computer software, Anti-Virus, WSUS and Cashing Server.
Local and Wide Area Networks (LANS and WANS), including
hardware/software installation
Post secondary certificate or diploma, along with a minimum of 2 years experience in computer technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent communication skills
A positive outlook on situations, ability to learn from mistakes and move forward
Passionate and committed to working with First Nations children, youth and families, using a strength/asset-based approach that aligns to the goal, vision and mandate of the Treaty 4 Education Alliance
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs, develops, implements and evaluates training to orient new and existing users for Office 365 and Help Desk.
Collaborates with other staff as appropriate, to identify priorities and appropriate responses to resolve issues with Office 365, Win 10, printers, Smart Boards, Switch, AP etc.
Sets up and maintains a central database for passwords and makes documents in Web Help Desk for user issues daily/weekly, as required.
Implements a capacity building approach to develop technology leaders within schools to assist in the effective implantation of program goals through a systematic training strategy module development, webinars, online resources, videography, training bulletins, manuals, and other training resources for Office 365, Smart Boards, printers and update ICT implementation.
