The Tri-Trades Instructor will be responsible for delivering Tri-Trades curriculum to adult students registered in the course. Courses of instruction include, but are not limited to: Brake Systems; Industrial Communications; Bearings; Seals; Clutches & Transmissions; Differentials & Final Drives; Track & Undercarriage; fundamentals of Electrical Systems; Engines; Equipment Operation & Maintenance; Shop Tools; Procedures & Safety.
Additional duties include:classroom management; taking attendance and submitting on a regular basis; monitoring student progress and submitting reports on a regular basis; and other duties as assigned.
The minimal qualifications for this position are:
A Bachelor of Education Degree with a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate and experience in one or more of the following trades: Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Auto Mechanics; Truck & Transport Mechanical Repairs.
and / or
A Journeyperson, with a Red Seal, in one or more of the following trades: Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Auto Mechanics; Truck & Transport Mechanical Repairs and 2 years recent relevant post Journey experience.Strong communication and interpersonal skills;Experience teaching in a cross-cultural adult education setting and a proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered.
