Description

Reporting to the Director of Academic Programming, the Manager of University Programming is responsible for the development, implementation and management of a significant portion of the university programming traditionally offered by the College. As a member of the management team, the Manager of University Programming participates directly in the decision making process that establishes overall college operation and performance levels.  The Manager of University Programming is also responsible for the recruitment, hiring, professional development, supervision and evaluation of staff within their area of responsibility.  The minimal qualifications for this position are a relevant Bachelor's Degree; however, candidates with a relevant Master's Degree may be given preference.  The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of university programming, usually obtained through a Masters degree.  A thorough understanding of current and emerging adult education practices, principles, and methodology is essential.

The successful candidate will have effective verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership skills, a high degree of organizational skills, a high degree of interpersonal skills, effective supervisory skills, effective negotiation skills, the ability to build and maintain staff and student morale, as well as effective decision making and problem solving skills.
