Lake Country Co-op is currently accepting applications for a Home Centre Manager at our Big River Home Centre location.
Primary Job Functions
Organize, direct and co-ordinate the activities and operations of the Home Centre to achieve budgeted goals. Provide members and guests with Legendary Service. Ensure that all staff are trained appropriately and are prepared to provide Legendary Service. Order, receive market and merchandise stock as related to the Home Centre operation. Co-ordinate all other duties as related to the Home Centre.
Required Skills
-Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate information and build relationships with employees and the community
-Lumber estimating experience
-Proven team leader who has the confidence to take the lead, teach and guide others
-Ability to maintain facilities and inventory up to Co-op standards
-Excellent work ethic with the ability to work flexible shifts dependant on business needs
-Strong computer and administrative skills
Desired Skills/Experience
Retail management with a focus on lumber, hardware or flooring. Previous Co-operative experience is considered an asset.
Reporting:
Reports to the Home and Ag Operations Manager.
