THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Administrative Assistant will handle all manner of tasks for Carrier Forest Products in Big River, Saskatchewan. Given Carriers organizational size, this multipurpose position provides support to all departments (HR, accounting, sales and administration), providing an array of tasks and duties past just reception. Directly reporting to the Plant Manager, you will also be the first point of contact for the company and will handle the flow of people through the business.
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
The following qualifications are preferred:
Outgoing disposition and a courteous manner
Aptitude for numbers and data
Excellent time management skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities and oscillate between tasks rapidly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
Exceptional organization and record keeping abilities
An administrative certificate or diploma is a considerable asset.
THE DUTIES:
Handle daily bankings mail register (bill payments, deposits, etc)
Assist Accounting by creating Production Reports
Receive, direct and relay telephone messages and fax messages
Open and date stamp all general correspondence
Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and conference
telephone calls
Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies
Other duties as assigned
