Coordinating weekly functions with our Chef/Kitchen Manager
Managing Function contracts and confirmation sheets and following-up for changes, updates, guaranteed numbers, etc
Ensuring post-function follow-ups are performed to thank the customer
Providing supervision and effective ongoing training for all new and existing staff
Coordinating the daily activities and schedules of all designated department staff
Conducting performance evaluations
Responding to any guest concerns and complaints quickly and efficiently
Ensuring all new employees are properly orientated and all necessary paperwork is submitted.
Assisting with the counting and preparation of inventories
Assisting and directing training programs in the food and beverage departments
Conducting designated department staff meetings and also attending regular department staff & department head meetings
Participating in annual budget process for the Food and Beverage division
Ensuring that the hotel policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff
Reviewing reports and labor costs on a daily basis and react accordingly by providing information and direction as may be required
Maintaining an awareness of sales and activity in our rooms division in order to properly prepare the food and beverage departments and to assist in the handling of large groups
Representing and promoting the property on and off-site
Controlling and monitoring daily beverage control and inventory system
Balancing and reconciling the VLTS.
