The City of Melville invites applications from qualified persons for the position of Communications, Community Development & Events Manager. A key member of the Community Services Team, the Communications, Community Development & Events Manager reports to the Director of Community Services and manages all strategic corporate communications; supports economic development, community events and tourism. The Manager leads all City communication initiatives, with emphasis on internal and external communications, media relations and social media. The Manager acts as a liaison with external organizations including government, media, consultants, and member organizations with the goal of establishing and maintaining professional, consistent and timely two-way communications with all stakeholders. The Manager also plays a role as the first point of contact for economic development, supports and promotes community events and tourism, building strong internal and external relationships aligned to the Citys Strategic Plan.
