Job Description: A challenging career opportunity exists in La Ronge, Saskatchewan with the Mental Health Program for an energetic, caring professional who can exercise sound clinical judgment. This position will deliver quality community Mental Health Services to residents of Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region (La Ronge and area), through providing counseling services and follow-up support services to clients and their families. In addition you will initiate and facilitate prevention, intervention and therapeutic mental health programs, and provide crisis intervention. The ability to speak Cree would be an asset in this position.

Education:
Current registration with Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to provide medication review, information and administration for clients taking psychotropic medication
Ability to conduct clinical assessment
Ability to provide individual and/or family counseling services
Thorough knowledge of community mental health nursing services and allied treatment services
Ability to function as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Good interpersonal and basic computer skills
Knowledge of and respect for aboriginal health concepts
Ability to work in a cross-cultural setting
