Employer is looking for Apiary Technician for the 2017 season.
Duties include:
Managing and Inspections of Beehives
Recognize, report and monitor hive health issues and apply appropriate cures/control
Assist in the production of Queen Cells, Nucs, Queens and/or replacement colonies
Keep Field and/or production records
Pulling and Extracting Honey. Repetitive and physically demanding
May drive and maintaining vehicles including truck and forklifts
Maintain Bee Yards
Skill Requirements:
Applicants must be in good physical condition and able to work in a team environment.
Driver's license is an asset
Applicants must have taken some Apiary Training and not allergic with bees
Work Location: Meadow Lake area - various farm locations and rural community
