Covertite Eastern Ltd, requires motivated experienced flat roofers or apprentices in single ply membranes and 2 ply mod bit for commercial projects in various locations. Flat Roofer/Apprentice follow the direction of their Foreman with assigned tasks and have 1-3 years of experience of flat roofing experience. They assist Roofing Journeymen and Tradesmen with the installation of different roofing systems and learn new roofing techniques. Apprentices assist labourers with moving material and helping with the tear off of old roofing systems. They follow the direction of their Foremen with additional tasks, help train labourers and obey all HSE requirements.
Work Setting: Candidate should be able to work fill-time in the day or evening or on weekends if required and be able to work in variable weather conditions
Work Conditions: Candidate should be physically fit, able to lift 50lbs, able to work on heights.
Requirements
Hard working, move materials on the job site as directed by the Foreman
Coordinate with other Roofing labourers to move heavy materials safely
Assist with the tear off of old roofing systems
Tidy up job sites as required
Work together with roofing crew for successful completion on the project
Maintain HSE standards and follow safety regulations
Other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Foreman
Work on Journeyman ticket for roofing
Current drivers license
Working at Heights and WHMIS
1-2 years of experience installing flat roofing systems is an asset
Must have safety boots, hard hat and harness
