Description

R&D PM, a boutique Saskatoon-based engineering consulting firm, is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer/Technologist to fill the role of Business Development Lead.  The primary focus of the position will be business development.  Secondary duties entail technical work on various projects.

As the Business Development Lead, you will:
- Create a business development plan with strategy, goals and budget
- Develop sales, market exposure and enhance customer service
- Drive implementation of the sales strategies to generate new business
- Develop sales targets and sales materials
- Develop new revenue initiatives in a competitive market
- Maintain and enhance social media presence

As a Mechanical Engineer/Technologist, you will:
- Develop proposals and budgets for client projects
- Prepare estimates and bid documents
- Design, engineer and model various mechanical systems
- Assess and evaluate manufactured equipment

This position offers a strong balance between client engagement and raw engineering work.  Candidates who seek a balance between isolated office oriented work and open personal engagement with clients are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:
- Technologist/Engineer, Minimum 3-5 Years Experience
- Excellent written/verbal communication
- Positive attitude and ability to motivate others
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
- Ability to identify potential opportunities for initiatives and growth
- Approachable, enthusiastic and open-minded
- A strong sense of professionalism
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with a computers and software
- Basic knowledge of local industries and business environment
- Experience in design, technical writing and parametric modelling is an asset

Travel is a requirement of this position.  
The successful candidate must have a valid drivers license.
