Responsibilities
Greet and direct patients, register patients, and escorting patients to rooms (Triaging).
Answer external and internal phone calls, book appointments, and transfer calls to the appropriate departments.
Provide administrative support and perform clerical duties.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments / tests / follow-ups and manage physician schedules.
Manage referrals with communication room
Give registration forms to patients and ensure that they are properly filled out.
Using Electronic Medical Records for documentation and internal communication with staff and doctors, as well as updating the system.
Use of traffic manager in ACCURO (EMR).
Share information collected from patients with the appropriate medical team members.
Assist doctors as needed in rooms.
Clean and sterilize materials and instruments.
Prepare examination rooms with the necessary medical supplies and equipment.
Arrange for medical materials to be properly cleaned or disposed of.
Other duties as assigned.
Cleaning exam rooms: beds, table paper, garbage's if necessary.
Proper communication with all staff and doctors.
Skills and Qualifications
Medical Secretary Diploma is an asset.
Experience with Accuro or any other Electronic Medical Records Software is an asset.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to communicate and work effectively on a multidisciplinary team.
Proficient in use of computers and other office equipment.
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
Strong knowledge of general medical office procedures
Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information; knowledge of applicable data privacy laws.
Able to maintain electronic medical records filing systems.
Able to manage time efficiently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service skills.
