Description

Early Childhood Instructor for the Head Start Program.
Job Duties -

-    Planning, implementing and evaluating developmentally appropriate preschool activities for children ages 2 to 4 in accordance with the George Gordon Head Start philosophy and program components.
-    Responsible for the safety and security of the children and the children's environment.
-    Operate the Head Start van and transport children mornings and afternoons.
-    This position reports directly to the Head Start Coordinator

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -
-    ECE Certificate Level 2
-    Required Minimum experience of 1.5 years in Head Start Daycare Preschool setting
-    Clear Criminal Record Check
-    Valid CPR First Aid, WHMIS, Safe Food Handling Certificates
-    Valid Driver's License
-    Working knowledge of the Aboriginal Head Start Program and the Touchwood Agency Tribal Council Childcare Policies and Regulations
-    Knowledge of the First Nation and the language, culture, and traditions will be an asset
-    Ability to work with minimal supervision
