GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Senior Health Nurse is responsible for the management and supervision of nursing services; including Primary Care, Community Health (Public Health), and Home Care Nursing. Working in collaboration with the Health Director of Fond Du Lac Community, oversees the delivery of multidisciplinary primary health care programs in the community. The Senior Health Nurse reports to the Director of Primary Health Care and participates as a member of the AHA Management Team. It is a full-time permanent position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Registered Nurses (SRNA)
- Preference will be Bachelor of Science in Nursing; or a combination of Diploma in Nursing and management experience
- Experience in a northern nursing station/primary health care setting
- Relevant advanced education or experience in management/supervision
- Knowledge of Dene culture and ability to communicate in Dene would be an asset
- Required to work in the expanded nursing role and must have current transfer of medical function or be eligible to obtain Advanced Authorized Practice (AAP) with the SRNA
- Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Search
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
