This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic team of like-minded individuals in a rapidly evolving field as SGI CANADA strives to achieve its aggressive growth objectives. We need someone who is adept with financial modeling and actuarial analysis to assess the actuarial liabilities for our competitive operations across Canada and make recommendations on the appropriate reserve levels. We're looking for someone who leads by example and is passionate about supporting their team to achieve our financial reporting objectives.
To successfully perform the role, you will bring the knowledge & skills you have obtained from your bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics or actuarial science, as well as a Fellowship of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)/Fellowship of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS)/Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (ACIA) working towards FCAS/FCIA. You will also bring the expertise you have obtained from at least five years experience in an actuarial role in the property and casualty field. An alternative combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
