Description

The Qu'Appelle Valley Friendship Centre is seeking an enthusiastic summer student (one who has been in an education program this past semester and is confirmed returning to an education program in September).  The candidate must be a positive role model that is able work on a temporary, full-time basis from June 27 to August 27, linking unemployed or underemployed youth with casual labor/odd jobs, informing/connecting youth with employment, training, skills development, educational programs and supervising the Centre in the Fort Qu'Appelle over the summer months.

Applicants must:

*  Relate well with youth and the public
*  Possess the ability to supervise small groups of people and, at times, help keep them on task in performing work (on site) eg. yard/community garden maintenace, etc.
*  Have outgoing, friendly personalities
*  Be reliable and punctual (9am - 5pm Monday to Friday)
*  Have no alcohol or substance abuse issues
*  Be able to clear a criminal record and vulnerable sectors check
*  Grade 12 minimum education (with a preference for those with some post-secondary education)
