Description

We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer, Custom Products at Littelfuse. The primary function of this position is to support the mechanical and structural design of custom electrical products and E-Houses for the Industrial and Oil & Gas sectors. The Mechanical Engineers overall objective is to work with the engineering team, customers and vendors to identify and capture opportunities, determine equipment requirements, formulate solutions, and manage project execution to meet or exceed the customers requirements.

- Mechanical design of skid mounted equipment and metal buildings, while ensuring safety throughout the design and production stages.
- Determine project specifications through product design, customer requirements and performance standards; completes technical specification reviews; prepares cost estimates and/or bill of materials.
- Create accurate, efficient and concise quotations that are formulated to reflect the project and customer requirements.
- Interfacing with customers and understanding their individual requirements.

Position Requirements:
- Four-year Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- At least three years of experience in mechanical design of fabricated enclosures, thermodynamics study preparation and design, hydraulics experience and understanding, plus drafting ability both for 2D and 3D (Inventor software experience preferred).
- At least two years experience in project management and project execution of custom engineered equipment.
- Previous experience in manufacturing and assembly.

Skills & Competencies
- Eligibility to register as a P.Eng. in the Province of Saskatchewan preferred.
- Experience in a client interfacing technical role.
- Desire to provide mentorship.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be organized with high attention to detail and accuracy.
