The Quality of Life (QOL) program assists individuals with intellectual disabilities connect to their community and enhance their overall quality of life. The Coordinator is responsible for the program and oversees all aspects of program delivery.
Duties include:
- Developing the Quality of Life program and daily activities for the participants
- Developing person-centred plans with each participant
- Developing and implementing strategies to assist participants with achieving their goals and address behavioral issues that may arise
- Acting as a liaison with participants supports
- Providing supervision and direction to QOL Mentors
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in human services field (i.e., Social Work, Education, Sociology, Psychology)
Experience:
- Three to five years experience working in a related field
Skills:
- Leadership skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Ability to express and formulate ideas and information in a clear and concise manner in both verbal and written form
- High degree of conflict resolution skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Valid drivers license
