Position Summary
This position is accountable for the maintenance and repair of equipment in and around the elevator and the troubleshooting of any electrical problems that may occur within their certified scope. The incumbent will be required to assist loading unit trains as needed. The incumbent is also expected to perform all operations tasks involving the receipt, storage, and shipping of grain.
Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
1 or more years experience, in a grain elevator or equivalent, in education and experience. Experience should be in an operations and/or maintenance setting, demonstrating a mechanical aptitude.
Valid drivers license
The incumbent should have strong electrical and mechanical skills. The abilities to communicate both verbally and in written form are essential. An aptitude for numbers is important.
Frequent exposure to fumes,cold,heat,dirt,dust and noise. Must lift 50-100 pounds frequently. Must be able to work in high places and in confined space.
