The Town of Kindersley is seeking a Recreation Labourer to join its Department of Community Services team and carry out the work required for the maintenance and successful operations of the West Central Events Centre (WCEC) and other recreation facilities. The primary duties include general facility maintenance, preparation, hosting and clean up for events, and facilitating good customer experience in the WCEC.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
- Standard First Aid & CPR
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Ability to comprehend and carry out written and oral instructions
The following are beneficial to the position but not requirements:
First Aid, CPR & WHIMIS Certifications
Experience operating relevant equipment and hand tools
Green space maintenance knowledge
Ice maintenance knowledge
Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Ice surface maintenance:
Ice making, ice painting, decal maintenance, ice removal duties
Operating the Zamboni and ice edger
Recording ice measurements
Flooding, patching, building and repairing ice as required
Facility maintenance:
Maintaining and monitoring the walking-track
Painting, dasher board glass installation
Monitoring arena?s physical plant
Recording readings of plant conditions
Maintain facility equipment and tools, including inventory records
Snow removal
Carry out handyman duties.
Janitorial maintenance:
Striping, waxing, polishing and buffing floors manually, or with cleaning equipment
Collecting and removing garbage and litter from facilities and grounds
Cleaning furniture, rooms and fixtures, restrooms.
Perform other duties as assigned
This is a full-time in-scope labourer position for 40 hours per week and will include shift work, callouts, some holiday and weekend work with overtime as required.
