Applications are invited for a temporary 100% Educational Assistant I position at Balcarres Community School commencing August 30, 2016 and ending April 6, 2017.

Balcarres is located within close proximity to excellent outdoor and recreational opportunities. Close by are the QuAppelle lakes, Katepwa Point Provincial Park and the Motherwell Homestead National Historic Site. Balcarres is also home to a modern health-care facility and the Balcarres Integrated Care Centre.

The Educational Assistant is responsible for ensuring safety, providing personal care and learning assistance for intensive needs students under the direction of the classroom teacher and student services teacher.  Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with cognitive behavioural issues, as well as personal care responsibilities.  Starting wage is at Step 1 - $18.71 per hour.
