Provides direction and management for medium to large-sized projects and ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. The Project Manager is responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Must be familiar with the integration of engineering/technical aspects, as well as procurement and construction activities. This level of Project Manager typically manages projects, or areas of a project, up to $250 million in total.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide specialist Value Engineering input to optimize structure design and construction.
- Provide expert analysis of operations, with an emphasis on quality and methodology, to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
- Manage all aspects of self-performed project work, including allocation of resources.
- Manage subcontractor activities, coordinate activities between multiple subcontractors, and coordinate the efficient use of resources.
- Demonstrable experience in the management of large, complex Design-Build highway projects.
