Description

The Grasslands Air Zone (GAZ)  and North East Air Zone (NEAZ) are new non-profit associations composed of stakeholders with a mandate to collect, disseminate and manage air quality data and related information for the southwest and east central regions of the province respectively.

The Air Zones seek to contract an individual to act as their Administrator, to provide program management services to the Associations.  The position reports to the Boards of Directors, and working with the Boards, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

1.    Organize the quarterly/semi-annual meetings of the Boards of the two air zones and keep minutes of those meetings.
2.    Work with the Air Zones to be successful with their desired air monitoring activities and operational plans
3.    Work with the members list and solicit membership payment from all potential members
4.    Manage and report the fiscal position of the Associations at Board meetings
5.    Undertake stakeholder development and relations
6.    Work with the website manager to keep GAZ website up to date
7.    Support the Boards functions and committees
8.    Prepare and issue an annual report
9.    Act as the contact person for the two Air Zones
10.    Other related duties as required by the Board

To be considered for this opportunity the successful candidate will have good communication and administrative skills with some financial experience.  Ideal candidates will also have experience working on/with previous boards.  

The successful candidate will be an independent worker with reliable interpersonal and public relations skills.
Other Air Zones in the province include the Great Plains Air Zone (GPAZ.org), Western Yellowhead and South East Saskatchewan Air Zones (WYAMZ.ca, and SESAA.ca)

It is anticipated that the hours required for delivery of these services will be part-time, approximately 480 hours (60 days per year).
