Description

Sexual Assault Services of Saskatchewan is seeking a summer student who is interested in creating awareness and education information on the issues surrounding Sexual Assault and Sexual Violence.

Tasks for this office desk job include:
- Research on Sexual Assault and Violence via internet and print
- Updating of existing website using in-house Content Management System
- Facebook content management
- Data entry
- Create pamphlets using Desktop Publisher
- Electronic filing
- Assist with monthly newsletter

This position requires the student to have very good English language reading and writing skills, and the ability to sit at a desk for 7.5 hours a day from Tuesday to Friday (total of 30 hours a week).

Please apply only if you would actually enjoy doing research on the issue of sexual assault, and are able to work on a computer in an office environment for 4 full days a week.

Other skills and abilities include:
- Desire and enthusiasm to learn about the many issues surrounding Sexual Assault and Sexual Violence.
- Enjoy research.
- Able to easily review information and succinctly summarize on different platforms for a viewing audience.
- Familiar with (and preferably adept at) Microsoft Publisher, Word, and Adobe software.
- Quick learner for a website Content Management System, and Mail Chimp newsletter template.
- Work well in a small office and team environment.
- Are self-motivated and have good time management.

The successful applicant will need to have a clear Criminal Record Check and will be returning to school full time for the fall semester.

Preference given to students in a human services field
