JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Director will mentor and supervise the Childcare Workers, ensure compliance with provincial childcare regulations, and support day to day childcare centre operations to implement positive experiences with the children. The Assistant Director will also assist the Director with administrative duties including, but not limited to, filing, record keeping and reporting, parent accounts, child care subsidy, maintenance of children's records, and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of Level II Early Childhood Education with 2 - 3 years of experience in early childhood education
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff of varying experiences, cultural and educational backgrounds
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency in computer use
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to promote a sense of community within the childcare centre including staff, children and their families
First Aid/CPR certification
Valid Class 5 Driver's License

2 - 3 years experience in early childhood education
