Are you our next Team Member?

We are currently seeking a Temporary Lab Operator I (15 month term)  at our Esterhazy, SK K2 location. The successful candidate will safely and efficiently carry out the duties of Lab Operator I with minimum direction and supervision.

What will you be working on?

*Demonstrate strong organizational skills while managing multiple demands.
*Carry out all analysis/test procedures required for process control, shipping samples, environmental samples, mine samples, basic water analysis and other samples as required.
*Use lab computer system to update and maintain daily analysis data files.
*Operate analysis equipment and perform routine calibrations and adjustments.
*Calibrate basic analysis equipment.
*Prepare routine standard solutions.
*Assist in adapting present lab procedures to fit new requirements as required.
*Maintain all required laboratory statistics and records.
*Understand and apply MSDS information.
*Recognize and identify discrepancies in analysis and procedures, and resolve these if appropriate.
*Work day, afternoon and night shifts as required or on a rotating basis.
*Work effectively with a minimum amount of supervision in the Laboratory at K1 and K2.
*Diligently ensure that all relevant OH&S requirements and in-house safety regulations are complied with.

What is required for this role

*Post-secondary education in a chemistry related field, preferably completed two years Industrial *Laboratory Technologist Course from a recognized institution.
*Preferably a minimum of one year related laboratory experience.
*Understanding of refinery process sample terminology.
*Working knowledge of at least one computer system (DOS, WINDOWS).
